Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Automate Freely ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the AutomateFreely application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@automatefreely.com.

1. Access via the Meta Platform (Facebook & Instagram)

AutomateFreely integrates with Facebook and Instagram to provide automation features you configure. To do this, we access data through the official Facebook Graph API and Instagram API provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram account, you authorize us to access that data through Meta's APIs. Our access, storage, and use of any data obtained through these APIs complies with the Meta Platform Terms and Meta Developer Policies. We only request the permissions necessary to deliver the features you have chosen to use.

2. Information we collect

Depending on the features you enable, we may collect:

  • Public profile information — such as your Facebook/Instagram name, username, account ID, profile picture, and follower/account metadata.
  • Content you authorize us to manage — such as posts, media, comments, and mentions on the connected accounts.
  • Direct messages — messages sent and received on connected accounts, but only where required to operate the automation you have configured (for example, auto-replies).
  • Account authorization data — access tokens issued by Meta that allow the Service to act on your behalf.
  • Information you provide directly — such as your name and email when you contact us or sign up.
  • Basic technical data — such as log data needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the automation features you set up.
  • Authenticate your account and connect it to Facebook and Instagram.
  • Send, schedule, and respond to messages, comments, and content as you have configured.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • Monitor, secure, and improve the reliability of the Service.

We do not use data obtained through the Meta APIs for any purpose other than providing the features you have enabled.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not rent or trade your data. We may share limited data only in the following cases:

  • Service providers — trusted vendors that help us operate the Service (such as cloud hosting and email delivery), who process data only on our instructions and are bound to protect it.
  • Legal requirements — where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request.
  • With your consent — where you have explicitly asked us to share specific information.

5. Data retention and storage

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. When you disconnect your account or request deletion, we revoke the associated access tokens and delete the corresponding data from our systems, as described in our Data Deletion Instructions.

6. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Access tokens and sensitive data are stored securely. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights and choices

You may disconnect your Facebook or Instagram account from the Service at any time, and you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. To request deletion of your data from our servers, follow the steps in our Data Deletion Instructions.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact us
